This is a main dish with whom many kinds of side dishes are also taken be people.


The ingredients that you need to prepare Besan Ki Roti are easily available in all the major markets throughout the whole world. These ingredients are as follows:

  • 2 Cups Gram flour (this actually means Besan)
  • 2 Cups Whole Wheat flour (which in Indian term means “Atta”)
  • Butter or Ghee added later on for the purpose of serving.


Besan Ki Roti is very easy to prepare and the whole procedure does not take much time. That is why you can try this out even when you are busy. The procedure that is obtained to prepare Besan Ki Roti is as follows:

  • You should mix the mentioned kinds of flours properly and this step is of utmost importance. The flours should be mixed in such a way that a pliable dough can be made out of it.
  • The dough is to be cut into ten pieces. All the ten divisions are then to be flattened by using a rolling pin. Thus the Rotis are prepared.
  • You have to heat the griddle before you put the food item on it. Then Rotis are put on the griddle and cooked on both the sides of them.
  • After the cooking is completed, the Rotis are to be generously buttered .
  • You should serve the finally prepared dishes along with lentils, curries or any other vegetable items.
