Paneer Sandwich

The Indian breakfast dishes are not only popular inside the country, but also outside India. Paneer Sandwich is one of the main Indian dishes that are hugely popular among all and sundry. Paneer Sandwich is specially favorite among the people of North India but it is to be mentioned that nowadays this dish is taken as breakfast among all the Indians throughout the whole country. Paneer Sandwich can be prepared following simple procedure and apart from these this dish is also healthy. That is why this dish has also made the foreigners interested in it.


All the ingredients that are required to prepare this dish are easily available in all the markets throughout the whole world. The needed ingredients are as follows:

  • 1 Loaf of bread
  • ½ Cup of grated Paneer (this is the Indian term for cottage cheese)
  • 1 Tomato
  • 2 Green chillies
  • ¼ Tea spoon of red chili powder
  • Salt to add to the taste
  • Butter as per requirement


The process that is followed to prepare the dish is very easy. The whole process takes only a little time and that is why this dish is very popular as a fast food. The steps that are needed to prepare Paneer Sandwich are as follows:

  • You have to chop some onions, chillies and tomatoes as per requirement.
  • Paneer has to be grated properly. Then it is mixed with vegetables, red chili powder and salt. This mixture is also kept aside.
  • Then you can two slices of breads and butter them in a proper way.
  • The Paneer mixture is put inside the covers of two slices of bread.
  • Take the raw sandwich to the toaster and heat it until the surface becomes crispy and brown in color.
  • And, as now, Paneer Sandwich is ready, it is the best to serve them to the guests along with ketchup or any kind of chutney.
