Mint Tamarind Chutney

The ingredients like, salt, sugar, garlic, tamarind, ginger, onion are added to chutney to enhance its taste. The spices which make the chutney an irresistible item are, hing (asafoetida), fenugreek, cumin and coriander. In South Africa a variety of chutney is made with dried fruit.

To make Mint Tamarind Chutney you will need the following ingredients:

  • Mint Leaves (Pudina Leaves)- a handful
  • Tamarind (Imli)- 1/4 cup
  • Green Chillies (Hari Mirch)- 2
  • Salt (Namak) to taste
For making Mint Tamarind Chutney you have to first grind the mint leaves and green chilies and turn it into a fine paste. After soaking tamarind in half cup of hot water for fifteen minutes pass it through the sieve. Next, mix the paste with salt and tamarind pulp.

Now your Mint Tamarind Chutney is ready to be served. Have the Mint Tamarind Chutney with any kind of snacks and experience the lovely taste.
