Mint Chutney

Mint Chutney is one of the widely appreciated chutneys and popular for its wonderful flavor and taste. Chutney plays a great role in enhancing the taste of other food items. Most of the chutneys contain any of the huge variety of vegetables and fruits. A considerable amount of fresh green chili peppers add to the irresistible taste of chutney.

In India, Chutney is usually eaten fresh. In North America and Europe chutney is preferred preserved and stored for quite a long time. As preservatives the vinegar, lemon juice and vegetable oils are usually add to chutney which makes it last for a longer period.

Making Mint Chutney at home is very easy. We are here providing you with the recipe of Mint Chutney.



To prepare Mint (pudina) chutney you will need the following ingredients:

  • Fresh Mint Leaves: 1 Bunch
  • Tamarind Pulp-1 Tbsp
  • Green Chillies- 2
  • Little Water
  • Salt To Taste
Before making Mint Chutney make a pulp of tamarind. For this, take some tamarind and soak some tamarind in water, keep it aside for 2 hours. After this, take a spoon and strain the mixture in a bowl with the help of this spoon. Add some water to the pulp of tamarind and make more tamarind juice. You can also get the ready-made pulp in the market to save your time. Next, wash the mint leaves thoroughly and grind it till it becomes a smooth paste. Before grinding add some green chilies, tamarind juice and salt to it. If you feel the mixture has become thick them add some water. Now your Mint Chutney is ready to be served.
