Spicy Pineapple Chutney

People of all Indian states like to have chutney with their regular meal. Indian people like chutney for their taste and nutritional value. Chutney is also very easily digestible dish. Chantey only enhances the taste of the meal. Without chantey, Indian meal remains incomplete. One can find different kinds of chantey in a retail food shop in India. All these edible products are hygienically made and best kind of effort is taken so that the food becomes mouthwatering and people take this again and again. Among the Indian chutney tomato chutney, tamarind chutney, mango chutney, lemon chutney and date chutney are very popular. Spicy pineapple chutney is also very popular in India.


Spicy pineapple chutney is made in India in any ordinary kitchen This can be made either in a microwave oven or in a conventional oven.

Ingredients of spicy pineapple chutney

  • 2 teaspoons onion seeds
  • ½ teaspoon methi seeds or fenugreek
  • 2teaspoons rai or mustard seeds
  • 2 teaspoons saunf or aniseed
  • 2 teaspoons jeera or cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon flour
  • 1 teaspoon red chilly powder
  • 3 teaspoons oil
  • 1 teaspoon haldi or turmeric powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 small pineapple or anaras


Process of making Spicy pineapple chutney

At first the pineapple is to be cut into slices. The oil is to be heated on a frying pan. Half of the total quantity of jeera onion seeds, methi, rai and saunf and salt according to your taste are to be mixed with the oil. The mixture is to be fried for a few minutes and then pieces of pine-apple, sugar, chilly powder sugar and salt are to be mixed with it. 2 Cups of water are to be poured into it. The mixture is to be cooked till the pineapple is properly boiled. The paste of maida is to be mixed with the mixture. The remaining half of the masla mixture is to be roasted on a tawa to make the corase powder of the mixture. Then the mixture of the powder is to be applied in the chantey. Spicy pineapple chutney is ready to be served.
