Sesame seed cookies can be made in any ordinary Indian kitchen. This can be made using either the traditional Indian oven or microwave oven.
Ingredients of sesame seed cookies
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder
- 1 ¼ cups sifted all purpose flour
- 1 cup toasted sesame seeds
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups light brown sugar ( This sugar should be packed properly)
- ¾ melted butter
Process of making sesame seed cookies
Cream, butter and sugar should be mixed properly. Vanila and egg are to be mixed with it until it becomes light and fluffy. The mixture prepared is to be stirred with the mixture of sesame seeds
baking powder, flour and salt. The malt for making cookies is now ready. The malt is to be dropped by half teaspoonful on the greased baking sheets. The malt on the baking sheet should be spread properly.
Bake the mixture at 37o C for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes' baking the baked mixture should be carefully removed from the fry pan. Now delicious sesame seed cookies are ready to be served. 5 dozens of cookies can be made from this mixture.
