Daal Makhani

Daal Makhani is one of the most delicious Indian delicacy.
Indian cuisine boasts of an array of mouthwatering and lip-smacking delicacies.

Dal Makhani has a nutrient value because of the rich protein content of the pulse.


Ingredients for Dal Makhani:

The ingredients that are required for cooking Dal Makhani are as follows:

  • Butter 4 tablespoon
  • Ginger 1
  • A little bit of Asafoetida
  • Bengal grams 1/2 cup
  • Red chili powder 2 teaspoon
  • Black grams 1 cup
  • Cream 2 tablespoon .
  • Onions 2
  • Kidney beans 1/4 cup
  • Green Chili 3
  • Garlic 8 pieces
  • Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
  • Tomatoes 3
  • Salt


Cooking Procedure of Dal Makhani:

The cooking procedure of Daal Makhani is also simple.
The cooking procedure of Dal Makhani is mentioned below:

Kidney beans, Bengal grams and black grams are washed and then kept under water for 8 hrs.
Garlic and ginger are mixed with the aforementioned mixture. The mixture is then coked in a pressure cooker for 10-12 minutes. The temperature is then reduced and the mixture is cooked for 15 minutes. The ginger and garlic are taken from the grams.
Asafoetida, green chili and cumin seeds are heated with 2 tablespoons of butter.
The mixture of ginger and garlic that was taken from the grams is mixed with some onion . The mixture is then added to Asafoetida, green chili and cumin seeds and fried till it takes a brown color.
Tomato,chili powder and salt are added and cooked for a period of 4 minutes till the paste becomes a semisolid.
Kidney beans and grams are added to the paste and heated for a period of 5 minutes. Water can be added to the mixture and then cooked for 3 minutes.
Dal Makhani is prepared and is served with a dash of cream on top of it.
