So getting the lemon is not a problem here and it is available in almost every part of the country.

Nimbu Pani is readily available in every nook and corner of the country. You will find this great Indian drink even at railway stations or bus stops. The hawkers also sell it in the city streets during the summer. Nimbu Pani can be bought from juice bars as well.

But it is really a good idea to make Nimbu Pani at home. The Nimbu Pani recipe is very simple and easy. The ingredients involve such things that are readily available. Moreover, Nimbu Pani can be prepared at a very cheap cost as none of the ingredients are expensive.

Ingredients required to make Nimbu Pani:

  • 4-5 juicy Lemons (Nimbu)
  • 8-10 cups of water
  • 1/3rd cup of honey
  • 10 pitted and halves dates (optional)

Method of making Nimbu Pani/ Lemon Juice:
You should first cut the lemons in halves crosswise. Then you are required to remove the zest from all the halves and squeeze out the juice. Next you need to slice the remaining lemons into thin rounds. Put the water and the dates in a sauce pan and gently boil for about ten minutes. Then the zest should be added and boiled for another 2-3 minutes. Then you have to remove the pan from the heat. Now you stir in the honey, lemon juice & lemon slices, and set it aside. It should be covered loosely and must be allowed to cool down. Then the Nimbu Pani should be served chilled with ice cubes.
